Description : The Opportunity
Are you looking for your next challenge? We currently have two opportunities for a fabric operative to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to join our PFI Scotland Schools account.
Job Title: Fabric Operative
Location: Glasgow Central Belt
Hours: 37.5 per week
Working Pattern: early and back shift + shift allowance
Contract: Fixed Term 12 months
Salary: £23k-£26k

What will this role involve?
Successful applicant will work in a sector of 5 to 6 high schools on our Glasgow estate.
General building fabric maintenance and repair to include:
Carry out scheduled building fabric PPM.
Day to day reactive joinery/fabric repairs raised on our Helpdesk.
Fire door maintenance and repair/replacement.
General joinery work.
Suspended ceiling repair and replacement.
Minor wall filling and painting repairs
What are we looking for?
Fabric/joinery-based skills
Strong technical skills in Hard FM, with working knowledge of building services systems.
Excellent planning and organisational skills for programming and managing works and services.
Excellent communication skills – Written and oral.
Ability to manage work priorities in a rapidly changing environment
Basic IT skills
Time served joiner or equivalent experience
Required technical skills within fabrication
Previous FM maintenance industry experience desirable
A basic knowledge of other trades plumbing and painting would be an advantage.
