Purpose of the Job
As part of Brit’s technology team, you will participate in the innovation and delivery of
technology and software solutions that support Brit’s business objectives.
As a front end engineer, you will be working with product owners, scrum masters and very driven
Agile teams to build and maintain UI platforms that enhance Brit’s ability to create solutions and
services for our customers. This role will translate UI designs into functioning software and
deliver/develop UI architecture components that conform to known successful patterns, and
that support evolution toward the future-state architecture.
You will be part of a DevOps team that will participate in professional and comprehensive
support and build, with the flexibility to build or maintain the specified solution or initiative
dependent upon the departmental requirements. You will also be require to participate in
design discussions as well as mentor junior engineers in the team.
Principal Accountabilities
Tackle complex business problems with a team of energised technologists
Build scalable system front end that are made up of Blazor, .Net, Microservices, API’s, Azure
Function Apps, CI/CD Pipelines and that use the latest UI technology
Explore new ideas and quickly build POC’s
Deliver features that follow Brit’s Agile software delivery process, including TDD and review
other Engineers Pull Requests
Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to improve products
Share your expertise in utilising the latest tools and scripts to automate tasks
Implement solutions based upon OO, DRY and SOLID principles
Develop code with instrumentation (Application Insights/Log Analytics) and self-healing
Should demonstrate the ability to improve existing Brit codebases in an incremental
fashion.
Should demonstrate the ability to grasp project requirements and other concepts quickly.
Possess good communication skills and be proactive in their approach.
Mentor software engineers in the team

Education, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Technical – sound commercial experience in the following:
C#, .Net Core, Web API, CSS, Bootstrap
Blazor
TDD using bUnit
(CI/CD) within Azure Devops.
Azure PaaS services (App Services, Function Apps, Azure AD.
Experience of Webservices, Web API, Swagger, Postman
Experienced in an Agile delivery environment
Understanding of design documentation, UML
Azure PowerShell, Terraform
Non- Technical
Good interpersonal skills with a key ability to work with an Agile team
Excellent analytical and technical skills.
Ability to think out of the box and deliver on the agreed solutions to business problems.
Strong interest in latest technology trends.
