General Operative
Melton Mowbray Mill, Thorpe Road
We are looking to recruit General Operatives at our Thorpe Road Site in Melton Mowbray.
About the Person
We are looking for someone who understands a ‘SAFETY FIRST’ culture with experience of working in a fast-paced Manufacturing environment being responsible for quality checks. You should be reliable, hardworking self-motivated, enthusiastic and a flexible team member, with the ability to produce high quality work. You should work collaboratively within and across teams with a real passion to live JELD-WEN values.
Responsibilities include;
Ensuring health and safety policies are adhered to
Ensuring safety checks are completed
Ensuring SOP’s are adhered to
Meeting daily production targets
General maintenance of your work area
Ensure that all products are manufactured to the required quality standards
Meeting quality standards for each process
Ensuring that general housekeeping is done to the required standard and areas are 5’s compliant
Previous experience in a manufacturing / factory environment would be advantageous although full training will be provided.
Hours of work are as follows:
Melton Mill, Thorpe Road (Shift Premium – 15% where applicable)
Morning Shifts (rotating)
Mondays to Thursdays
06.00am-14.00pm and Fridays 06.00am-13.00pm
Afternoon Shifts (rotating)
Mondays to Thursdays
13.45pm-22.15pm and Fridays 12.45pm-17.25pm
Day Shift (fixed)
Mondays to Thursdays
7.30am-16.00pm and Fridays 7.30-15.00pm
With a 30 minute lunch
