Description : InsideTracker is seeking a passionate bioinformatics scientist to contribute to our Genomic Technologies and Research Group. In this part-time role, you will report to the group leader where you will work with a small team of data scientists on human genomics projects primarily focused on research around and detection of new variants toward the development of polygenic scores that integrate into personalized nutrition, blood chemistry, activity/sleep tracking and other lifestyle-related insights.About YouYou have a BS, MS, or PhD in statistical genetics/bioinformatics or related disciplineYou are able to read, analyze and translate research GWAS studies and navigate appropriate databases toward personal genomics insightsYou have experience with R and/or Python programming languagesYou are detail-orientedYou are fairly independent, flexible, and adapt well to changeYou are a team player and are willing to help others and ask for help when neededFamiliarity with or willingness to learn GWAS software (such as BWA, GATK, and/or PLINK) and data formatting and managementYou are able to effectively prioritize and multitaskKey ResponsibilitiesThis position will support the recommendations and insights for our personal genomics and research program.
