The role of Business Development – ekar Holding
You will be responsible to develop, strengthen and coordinate our proactive approach to business development, oversee business development plans in a way that supports our vision and overall organisational strategy. You will be responsible for identifying new and emerging markets, developing products and services, and developing new partnerships.
You will work with Business development departments at ekar Holding level to oversee the business development plans and operations in different locations.
This role will require you to be outgoing, personable, solution-oriented, and will be highly autonomous, so you must be able to manage your own time and be self-driven. This also requires you to negotiate business deals, demonstrate excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
Key responsibilities and tasks
Identify new and emerging markets for business development of our ekar strategy by leading the development and implementation of business development plans
Develop fleet growth for the existing markets (procuring new cars, revenue sharing agreements, subscription sharing deals)
Develop in-depth knowledge of the company offering to identify profitable business opportunities
Establish business development strategies to ensure overall organisational strategy is followed
Develop new relationships and partnerships with key car rental and leasing companies in various markets
Access and analyse the potential growth opportunities by adopting existing services and products in a different regions
Guide business development research reports on potential revenue streams and business threats
Assessing sales operations and recommend improvements as needed
To lead on research to track emerging trends and opportunities for future business development, introduction of new products and services in a new countries / regions
Provide regular updates to the senior leadership team and Board of Directors
Perform other responsibilities associated with this function as appropriate
Bachelor degree in Business administration / Marketing / Finance or another relevant field
8+ years of experience in business development / sales
Demonstrated experience of partnership / business development in multiple locations within the region or global environment
Demonstrated ability to identify, recommend and implement best practice approaches that deliver rapid, consistent, high-quality business outcomes
Strong planning, analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills and is able to prioritise and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Proven track record as a team leader with an understanding of management practices
Ability to set the overall Business development strategies with the alignment of organisational objectives and drive process improvement
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Effective communication and negotiation skills
Strong business acumen
Experience in the technology, mobility or automotive industry is an advantage
