Description : Head of HRNorthumberland / Scotland (hybrid / remote working an option)Salary up to £80,000My client is a well-established communications company who are currently enjoying a huge period of growth, and as a result they have an immediate requirement for a Head of HR to join their senior team. This is a brand new role and such a lovely opportunity for an experienced HR professional to really make their mark in a heavily strategic, senior HR role.Duties will include (but not limited to):- Manage complex employee relations casework including disciplinaries/grievances, absence and retirement.- Apply HR and business knowledge evidencing appropriate decision making skills.- Advise managers on the terms and conditions of employment and knowledge and share best practice with them.- Provide first line advice on current and existing benefits for employees and managers.- Support the recruitment process – this may include writing job descriptions and preparing interview questions and application forms etc.- Carry out new starter inductions.- Continuously monitor and review HR policies and processes and implement changes where necessary.- Participate in the implementation of specific projects, procedures and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the organisation.- Develop programmes to enhance employees relations and offer employee support to each staff member.- Deliver compensation and benefit comparison reports to the executive team each month and make recommendations.- Act as liaison between the company and outside legal and professional resources to ensure that all employment policies follow current laws and regulations.Criteria:- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource or relevant experience- Proven HR generalist experience.- Exceptional organisational and communication skills are required together with proven leadership capabilities and solid knowledge of employment legislation and its application.- Proactive team players with strong customer service and problem solving skills.- Experienced in developing and supporting line managers through change.- An ability to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion and diplomacy is crucial.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: £50,000.00-£80,000.00 per yearSchedule:Monday to Friday
