Position Summary:
The HIM Analyzer previews medical records to assure all appropriate documentation is complete at a specific assigned hospital location in accordance with MHS/department’s approved policies and procedures and federal/state/local regulations. The HIM Analyzer supports the medical record coding function by uncovering issues and opportunities related to clinical documentation to ensure accurate completion of the medical record . The incumbent reviews specific accounts and assignment of deficiencies, tracks on-line and missing reports, dictation status, and enters data related to deficiencies into the system for timely notification to those healthcare professionals who document in the medical record.
Minimum Requirements:
One (1) year of clerical work experience required
Medical records or Unit Secretary experience preferred
Education/Licenses/Certifications:
Health Information Management course work preferred
