The Human Resource Advisor supports and advises their designated business function. They understand the business strategy, and the trajectory of the organisation, in particular their business function, and uses that understanding to help shape positive change that contributes to achieving business, whilst maintaining a perspective on overall organisational health, people, and performance in the long-term
Accountabilities:
For designated functional areaGDPR compliance
HR documentation, policies and procedures are compliant and administered consistently with the relevant employment lawHR records are up-to-date and accurate, on file /scanned as appropriateEffective case managementMaintain a positive and effective Trade Union relationship
Responsibilities:
To co-partner with designated function(s) – understand the function’s strategic initiatives, and provide high professional support from a HR perspective in a collaborative approach
Talent Acquisition:
Support business leaders with their resourcing requirements, ensuring that they are requiting in talent and making expedient decisions.
Be a Brand Ambassador – responsible for ensuring that the Employee Value Proposition branding is marketed effectively.Manage Vacancy Filler metrics for responsible functions and take appropriate action to ensure speedy resolutions are provided to close key recruitment positions quicklyMaintaining metrics/dashboard/reportsActively support and promote effective internal and external communication via the Beekeeper tool, social media, and promotional campaignsCoaching leaders in people management best practices, with particular focus on accountabilityBe responsible for case management (except for any formal process for director level), coaching leaders to handle issues effectively starting with informal resolution.Assist the HR People Partners and Director of Talent and Culture in identifying and managing employee associated business risksEmployee engagement – assist in driving employee engagement initiatives/action plans for allocated functionManage the employee engagement process and provide top level analysisCoaching Culture – monitor and review progress, assigning buddies, reviewing alternative solutionsTo actively manage and promote diversity initiatives that have a positive impact on underrepresented groups within the companyOversee the management of the apprenticeship scheme to achieve success in the ultimate purpose of an effective in-house engineering career development pathManage the Talent Management process (mid and end of year) providing advice and assistance in developing development plans, identification of critical roles and succession plansProcess Reviewer/change initiator – highlight process improvements
Be data driven – Manage & report on all function metrics, ensuring compliance and good linkage with other relative metricsIdentify knowledge sharing opportunities, and support with the development of HR colleaguesRun talent management & leader inductions/training/development initiatives for function as and when required/appropriateProvide advice, assistance, and follow-up on company policies, procedures, and documentation.Ensure HR systems are accurate and promptly updated and compile reports/analysis, supporting with the payroll processesParticipate in the delivery of the HR strategy and company projectsEnsure that accurate job descriptions are in place and kept up to date providing advice and assistance with writing job descriptions when necessaryEnsuring compliance with government employment regulationsTo maintain and store sensitive and confidential employee information in a secure manner in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulations.
