Description : EQUANS are recruiting for a Learning & Development Manager to be based in North East Region. This is a permanent full-time role working Monday to Friday. On offer is a competitive salary, and benefits package.
Working closely with the Head of HR, develop and deliver the Regional L&D strategic plan that meets the needs of the business. This plan will include a TNA that is effective and commercially robust. Consideration must be given to the effective use of both the CITB and Apprenticeship levy.
L&D includes all aspects of learning from mandatory SHEQ to management and soft skills including EQUANS Group mandatory training. The post
The post holder will also manage allocated resource within the Learning and Development Coordination team, ensuring effective and efficient use of the resources available. In addition, they must work collaboratively with L&D colleagues within the Division and also within the Central L&D Team.
What will you deliver?
To create and deliver the L&D Regional plan ensuring this is compatible with both P&C and Group requirements.
Act as Regional expert in L&D solutions that are commercially robust and fit for purpose
Ensure the 2 HRIS support the plan and reporting is accessible and accurate
To manage the L&D Co-ordinators within the Region
To work with Central L&D to ensure the central PSL meets the Region’s learning needs
To maximise CITB Levy claims.
Create commercially robust solutions for learning using the Apprentice Levy
Support mobilisations of new contracts from an L&D perspective
Manage the implementation of Trainee, Apprenticeship and Grad programmes in the Region
Analyzing feedback from training courses and striving for continuous improvement
Liaising with external stakeholders, such as local colleges and universities to develop appropriate programmes for TAG’s
Maintain close relationship with HR to ensure training identified through PDR processes is authorised and delivered effectively and provide support in preparing and developing coordinated career development plans
Provide support and information to marketing teams to promote training initiatives to assist with general promotion and recruitment initiatives
Support the bid team in promoting training initiatives and links with outside organisations
Work with all site teams and community investment team to expand and develop localised training initiatives
Supporting the business in ensuring SHEQ compliance and raising the standard of operational delivery to our Customers.
Supporting attraction and retention strategies by assisting in providing meaningful training that can support career development and promotion
Supporting the engagement strategy as training can increase staff moral

Qualifications
Who are we looking for?
Good understanding of the construction and/or FM industry
Excellent understanding and experience of apprenticeship frameworks
Excellent understanding of Apprenticeship Levy CITB funding
Excellent understanding of Graduate processes.
Good level of H&S knowledge and understanding
Experience of using/signposting to external networks to provide support to young people
Experience of working with young people/apprentices
Confident communicator with ability to talk to people of various educational, social and ethnic backgrounds
Good attention to detail and electronic data capture
Reliable with an emotionally mature, tolerant and positive attitude
Self-motivated but also able to work as part of a team
Enthusiastic, Supportive, Empathic, Adaptable
Professional and Smart appearance
Flexible – will be required to travel on a regular basis to site and client locations
Available for occasional overnight stays during the week if required
Excellent verbal and written communicator
Experience of working with people at all levels
Able to communicate confidently
Able to prioritise own and others work within time constraints
