About This Opportunity
Responsibilities:
Ideal candidate has experience in the following: Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple business units including merchandising, logistics, operations, IT, M&A, legal, and marketing. Ability to define scope of a strategic pilot or partnership, construct agreements, drive successful pilots to test initiative hypothesis, and manage strategic M&A opportunities end-to-end. Strong interpersonal skills, ability to foster strong relationships (both internal and external), ability to influence, and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and manage changing priorities.
Launch strategic partnerships and pilots: develop process to test concepts that drive incremental revenue to 7E, and define promotions, placement, geography, budget; work with merchandising, marketing, digital, IT, accounting / finance, car wash / fuels, operations, logistics and small vendors to initiate tests, analyze results, report performance, and define expansion plans
In Partnership with M&A / Corp Development team lead Strategic M&A from start to finish: define target criteria, vet restrictions with legal, review pipeline, manage due diligence, lead integration activities with internal cross-functional team, and optimize performance via tests, synergies, and enhancements.
Work cross-functionally with digital, human resources, accounting, legal, risk management, merchandising, operations, asset protection, car wash / fuels, marketing on integration and launch. Be the relationship management point-person of all tests internally and externally.
Understanding of the different 7E operating models (Franchised vs. Corporate) and 7E systems
Work cross-functionally with marketing, merchandising, communications, UX, and digital teams to build activation plans, add assortment, and design custom app upgrades for pilots / strategic partnerships that enhance the customer experience for new and existing customers, deliver on convenience, and drive incremental revenue to 7E.
Build testing Power BI dashboard, define key metrics, forecast, and analyze P&Ls, track results and communicate performance to all testing stakeholders including digital, M&A, operations and merchandising leadership
Develop executive level presentations that define strategy, approach, and results for various audiences (7E senior leadership, Strategic Partner, Townhalls). Help define the Strategic M&A strategy based on internal and external research, emerging trends and competitive insights
Develop Market and Competitive Intelligence: Define and share insights about the new digital, retail and technology trends that impact the c-store channel and become a subject matter expert for 7-Eleven
Qualifications:
Relevant External Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree
5+ years; Consulting, Strategy, Innovation group or special projects team within Fortune 500 companies,
Strategic Partnerships/Business Development for retail, tech, or at a startup
Relevant 7-Eleven Experience: Category Manager, Field Sales Leader, Field Consultant, PMO, Strategic Planning, M&A, Car Washes / Fuel, SET team, Asset Integration
