Description : PWC ADMINISTRATOR: Immediate opening for an experienced Practice AdministratorSUMMARY: The OB/GYN Practice Administrator is responsible for directing, supervising, and coordinating staff and activities to provide quality, cost effective care to patients while meeting goals and objectives. The OB/GYN Practice Administrator will coordinate office services and related activities including development, management, and supervision of programs for the maximum utilization of services and equipment by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Organize and manage office department leads for operations specifically: the front desk, phone triage, billings and collections, medical records.Co-manage with lead clinical nurse as requested or needed.Facilitate weekly physician’s meeting for MD clinical roundtable, practice planning and financial reporting.Evaluate office productivity, revise department procedures, and devise new methods/forms to improve efficiency of the office.EMR maintenance and interface.Manage marketing functions for the practice.Formulate procedures for systematic retention, protections, retrieval, transfer, and storage of records.Prepare reports as needed for management: RX Logs and Monthly Financial Management.Negotiate contracts for equipment lease or purchase options.Assist in creating and updating policies and procedures and ensure enforcement of such.Serve as liaison between the practice and outside entities.Oversee participation in and adherence to compliance programs.Reporting and coordination of annual benefit reviews for physicians and staff.Function as or oversee responsibilities of corporate security offices and OSHA Compliance Officer.Directs and coordinates Accounts Payable responsibilitiesProvide direction to the Business Office Manager for negotiating insurance carrier contracts.Coordinate Financial records with corporate CPA.Requisitions for supplies.Coordinate payroll preparation and other HR services.Interface with Facility Manager for building and grounds.Other duties assigned by the physicians.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinates interviews and hiring as needed.Maintain personnel records to assure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness.Supervises administrative personnel and completes performance reviews.Makes recommendations for personnel actions to the physicians or clinic manager, as appropriate.Fulfills supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures, and state and federal laws and regulations.Responsibilities also include interviewing, hiring, and training employees. Planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.Maintain and facilitate meetings: Monthly staff and department.EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: B.S degree or higher, or equivalent of education and experience with at least 5 years medical practice administration experience. General knowledge of billing and collections, ICD-10, and CPT coding, medical terminology, and computer software applications. Knowledge of the principles and practices of supervisory and general management abilities of a medical office. Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with, staff, patients, and other third parties. Ability to concentrate under high demands and listen effectively. Ability to organize tasks; work as a team member and independently using sound management skills with a variety of professional disciplines.
