Description : Hospice in the Pines, Incorporated is a non-profit organization serving the East Texas community since 1986. Currently seeking highly motivated individuals to join our team of professionals.Position Available: Medical Records ClerkDuties include but are not limited to the following:Complies with all departmental policies, practices and procedure consistent with professional standards, legal/regulatory requirements, and organizational goals related to medical record information.Follows all security and HIPAA policies and regulationsAccurately and timely files records into patient’s charts according to established chart order.Creates new charts including initial medical records audit, making labels, and proper placement of documents as per hospice standard operating procedures.Processes Patient charts following discharge.Assists Medical Records Coordinator in preparing for IDT weekly meetings, and assists in processing paperwork after the meetings including sorting for signatures, mail-outs, or filing.Assists with data entry into EMR.Performs clerical audits as needed and assigned.Provides office support for Medical Records Coordinator.Hospice in the Pines, Inc. offers great benefits!
