Description : A 12 month secondment post, to cover maternity leave, has arisen for a Personal Assistant to the Head of Antenatal Screening Wales, Consultant in Public Health Medicine, and Head of Screening Pathway Services.
The Screening Division is responsible for the delivery of six screening programmes: aortic aneurysm screening, bowel screening, breast screening, cervical screening, diabetic eye screening, and maternal and child screening and is part of Public Health Wales.
The successful post holder will provide day to day PA support to the Head of Programme, Consultant in Public Health and Head of Screening Pathway Services, as well as supporting the wider secretarial team. This includes diary management, arranging meetings and internal and external events, making travel arrangements, inputting expenses, recording sickness and annual leave absence, monitoring emails and fielding phone calls, and taking action on the team’s behalf where appropriate. Attending meetings and taking minutes, producing action points, circulating and following up accordingly. Ensuring files are up to date at all times. Dealing with issues as and when they arise and having the ability to report, address and escalate issues in a timely and effective manner. Liaising with colleagues across the organisation. We are looking for an individual with good communication skills, with an ability to work flexibly and respond to changing work priorities in a busy environment. Excellent IT skills, including the use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, e-mail systems, and other internal databases and reporting systems is essential.
