To provide personal care support and companionship for a man with physical and learning disabilities
Location: Bodham, NR25
Details
I am a frail man with some mobility and communication issues and also have epilepsy which is well controlled with medication. I live with my parents who are in their 90’s and cannot support me (they have their own carers). I am seeking a friendly personal assistant with good communication skills to support and encourage me to maintain my personal hygiene, showering and changing clothes regularly, and maintaining a healthy diet, particularly to ensure that I have breakfast as I tend to get up before my parents. I would like to be able to go out and in future my P.A. might accompany me on short trips to ensure my safety.

The rate of pay for this position is £10.37 per hour
You will be reimbursed for any agreed expenses incurred as part of the role.
Hours and times of work: Total 6 hours per week,usually 3 hrs visits in mornings, with additional hours available occasionally for trips out.
The post is subject to the following:
A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.
Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer.
Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 3 months
