The Senior Support & Development Engineer – Electronic Automated Test Equipment is to provide first-line support for a range of legacy (primarily LabView-based) Automated Electronic Test Equipment. Whilst concurrently oversee the development of new C#-based Automated Electronic Test Equipment, working with Outsourcing Partners as required, where replacement of existing equipment is considered to be appropriate.
Main Responsibilities:
Investigate issues with both production and field returned Semicon and Industrial Vacuum products, producing 8D reports where required.
Provide advice on, and testing of, replacement parts to cover any component obsolescence on existing Semicon and Industrial Vacuum E-Parts designed by the Eastbourne Product Company.
Propose Copy Exact changes as required to ensure no customer non-conformities or interruptions to E-Part manufacturing.
Carry out and report on evaluation and compliance testing to EN Standards (e.g. EMC and Electrical Safety) for new and existing products.
Resolve Customer, Sales and Service Teams’ product application enquiries and issues, providing final level support via escalation to Technical specialists when required.
Build prototype test and measurement equipment as required.
Skills / Knowledge / Experience:
Supporting bespoke LabView-based Automated Electronic Functional Test Equipment.
Developing Automated Electronic Test Equipment (working in conjunction with suitable Outsourcing Partners).
Degree in Electronic Engineering (or equivalent), plus at least 10 years’ demonstrated ability and experience in the field of Automated Electronic Test Equipment Development.
Other qualifications may be considered, where a candidate can provide evidence of a skill set that particularly matches the requirements of this role.
