Description : Who we are looking for
A technically minded Software Development Team Leader who will help coordinate and drive activity and team efforts to deliver and maintain software solutions.
The Gaming team support, enhance and maintain the entire estate of systems required to run the Casino, Poker, Bingo and Games products across Web and App platforms.
The team use a range of technologies including Microsoft C#, Golang, Swift and Kotlin and they pride themselves on the quality and velocity of development through the lifecycle, where it recognises that people are the key to success.
This is a hands off coding role however an ability to converse with developers of all levels to ensure deliveries are on time and to the requirement provided is essential.
We are looking for someone who is organised, driven and always looking for ways to improve the processes and pace of work, whether it is a small change or a company-wide project.
This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company’s hybrid working from home policy.
Preferred skills and experience
Commercial development experience with a strong technical background.
Proven track record of leading teams to deliver high quality solutions.
Strong team working skills.
Experience of distributed systems.
Ability to multi task and manage multiple streams of activity, shifting focus regularly.
Proactive and willing to contribute ideas.
Main Responsibilities
Assisting in driving the provision of a capable, reactive, motivated and delivery focused team.
Enforcing governance of quality, rules, standards and processes ensuring solutions meet business needs.
Ensuring development processes are conducted in a timely fashion.
Identifying and mitigating risk.
Removing blockers to delivery.
Analysing impact of change.
Distributing knowledge and mentoring team members.
Providing performance feedback and inputting into developer appraisals.
