Description : Are you a sports analyst or writer with a flair for finding stories in data?
Our Editorial Data Analysis team is looking for an analytically-minded sports expert to support the delivery of content for bespoke customers and the UK’s leading sport wire service.
What you’ll be doing …
The role will report to the Head of Editorial Data Analysis, with core responsibilities as follows:
Analysing a wide range of data to identify and deliver stories
Providing data in a user-friendly format for designers and writers
Work closely with internal and external customers to ensure work is delivered to the required standard
What you’ll need …
To be successful in the role you will need the following:
Experience of analysing data via spreadsheets and/or other analytical tools
Experience of sports writing for media publications
Understanding of a wide range of American and European sports
Experience of managing customers
Proven ability to manage and prioritise your time
The following additional skills are desirable but not essential:
A basic understanding of programming languages and APIs
An understanding of betting and fantasy sports
