All pupils study Food and Nutrition at Key Stage 3 and it is delivered in rotation with Design Technology. Food and Nutrition is a very popular GCSE option with many pupils electing to study the subject in KS4. At Dunottar, we currently follow the Eduqas/WJEC exam specification.
We seek to appoint a subject specialist with the vision, enthusiasm and energy to work in our Food and Nutrition department whilst also contributing to the exciting journey Dunottar is on. Due to School growth, this is a new role which offers an exciting challenge for someone with initiative and imagination to help contribute to the success of the department. The School has recently undertaken a refurbishment of the Food and Nutrition teaching rooms to provide a fantastic, upgraded kitchen space.
Applications are invited from well qualified and talented teachers. The successful applicant will also play an active role in the extensive and varied co-curricular program at the School, both during the working week and some weekends. Ideally the applicant will have a track record of delivering high quality and engaging lessons that are rich in content and made relevant by relating to world issues.
