LTA / Reed Education are seeking a Year 5 Teacher for a caring and supporting Primary school in the Chorley area. This new Teacher role is a Full-time temporary position covering 5 days per week, from 08:30-15:30. This role is starting in February 2022 and then is on a ongoing basis until Summer 2022 for the right candidate.
The schools endeavours to fulfil the academic, spiritual, moral and social needs of all its pupils.
Qualified Teacher Status and previous experience/strong knowledge of teaching KS2 is essential for this position.
The successful applicants must:
Must have QTS or equivalent
Must have recent relevant experience of teaching KS2 Curriculum
Be an excellent classroom practitioner with strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills
Be reliable, committed and interested in working with students and demonstrate the qualities of a good role model (qualities of compassion, trustworthiness, politeness and good listening skills)
Have good interpersonal skills; be trustworthy, punctual as well as being patient and confident when working with children.
Within this role, your main responsibilities will be:
Preparing, planning, and delivering high standards of lessons to ensure the continuous development of our pupils
Mark and monitor classwork, alongside setting targets for future progress
Establishing and developing strong relationships with pupils, parents, colleagues, and carers
Have a clear understanding of all the needs of all pupils
Monitoring pupils progress in reference with the school’s practice
Excellent behaviour management skills
