Description : We are looking to bring on board a Head of Insight who can lead our Insight and CRM teams to continue to drive growth across Moneybox. This is a role where you can bring together your technical skills, strong commercial understanding, and team leadership to identify and action growth opportunities within the business. We are looking for someone with this ability to blend data insight and commercial acumen to create significant value.
At Moneybox we work in a matrix structure, so you will be leading all of our analytics and CRM team, each of whom are typically focused on a key mission (retirement, investing, saving, mortgages, customer experience, money & payments, support & infrastructure & ops). You will also be the person to pull together the overall company level insight, data and CRM plans to support companywide growth. This is a key role within the leadership team of the company.
Please note for this role we will consider both permanent and contract (min 6m) applications.
What You’ll Do
Day to day leadership of the insight and CRM teams. This will mean supporting the existing high quality ten person team to rapidly progress and develop. This will require strong leadership and mentoring skills and experience.
Setting the direction and strategy for the teams; you will be responsible for creating and delivering the budget for this area. To do this, you should have a strong focus on maximizing the value you can create over the medium term and growing and scaling the team.
As and when required you will lead on specific (likely high importance) projects, where we would expect a very high level of performance. On occasion, you will be expected to ‘roll up your sleeves’ and take ownership of key workstreams or analysis; Moneybox has a culture of team leads as ‘experts’ and therefore we would want someone in this role to be a real expert in their field.
Work with the broader senior team, especially product, engineering, finance and UX to build the best service possible.
Experience and Skills
Ideally you would have a minimum of 5+ years relevant experience either in a high performing analytical environment (e.g. management consultancy) or in a consumer app environment.
Proven track record of using data to effect change and produce tangible results that drive business value.
Strong understanding of the app development process – able to make sensible, pragmatic trade offs when working closely with product, UX, and commercial teams.
Deep understanding of a broad range of analytical skills with excellent Excel and SQL ability and perhaps a knowledge of Python and more advanced data science techniques preferred.
Capable of communicating complex ideas simply and convincingly
Strong organizer who acts like a true company owner with attention to detail and experience in project managing multiple workstreams.
Best in class team lead and mentor to work with the existing team to rapidly develop and support their progress.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
