Design & Technology Teacher -ASAP!
anzuk are currently recruiting for a Design Technology Teacher. The position is to start as soon as the candidate becomes available to cover long term sickness. The school will consider all disciplines within DT as they have flexibility in the timetable to change groups. Planning and marking will be required.
The school is close to the M5, has a very supportive Senior Leadership Team and pupils are attentive in lessons and want to learn.
The successful candidate will have the following attributes:
A secure knowledge and understanding of the DT curriculum up to KS4
All areas of DT will be considered – Resistant Materials, Graphics, Food Technology, Engineering, Product Design, Textiles, Sculpture and Photography
Valid workshop certificates in the relevant disciplines
Ability to consistently deliver a high level of teaching
Ability to effectively communicate with young people, parents, carers and colleagues
Creativity and innovation to improve lessons where required
An up-to-date working knowledge and understanding of a range of teaching, learning and behaviour management strategies
The ability to manage the learning of whole classes, groups and individuals effectively
Relevant teaching qualification
