Description : LOCATION: RemoteHOURS AVAILABLE: Full-time, Monday – Friday Flexible day time hours.JOB SUMMARY: This is a full-time, remote position that requires you to be a self-motivated, and organized worker. You will bill for mental health providers (individual providers and clinics) across the nation from an internet-based EHR platform. You will communicate directly with the providers and insurance companies, both in writing and on the phone. There is minimal communication with the patients. There are no collections involved in this billing position.In this position, you will:Verify eligibility and benefits via phone or online portal for in office and telehealth visits.Submit claims daily for providers (individual and clinics).Follow up on denied and rejected claims daily.Post payments or adjustments as needed.Communicated effectively with providers on a daily basis, promptly answering provider questions regarding their accounts.Maintain knowledge of and follow policies and procedures to maintain compliance.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payer policies and applicable regulations and policies pertaining to your providers’ insurances.Multitask to take care of multiple providers and insurances daily.Provider vacation for co-workers as needed.Essential Requirements:Ability to:Comply with company policies, procedures, practices and business ethics guidelines.Complete job required training.Comply with all applicable laws and regulations, (e.g. HIPAA, Stark, OSHA, employment laws, etc.)Communicate and interact in a respectful and professional manner with providers and coworkers.Prioritize workload while being flexible to meet the expectations of the daily operations.Work independently with minimal supervision during daytime hours.QUALIFICATIONS:High School Diploma required, Associate degree or higher in related field preferredMust be 18 years of ageBackground clearance3 years of previous medical billing experienceKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Strong investigative, problem solving and organizational skillsAbility to multi-taskAbility to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information in accordance with HIPAAExcellent attention to detail and ability to complete work with accuracyKnowledge of medical billingKnowledge of SimplePractice and TheraNest EHR systems is preferredJob Type: Full-timePay: $18.00 – $25.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)Paid time offSchedule:8 hour shiftDay shiftMonday to FridayCOVID-19 considerations:This position is fully remote.
