Overview:
This is a Entry Level 4,5 and 6 Project Management Degree Apprentice role, within the IT Business Partner team for the UK & ROW business region, providing deployment project management across our business information application systems.
Rentokil Initial has an IT strategy, in the main, of developing and deploying bespoke applications across the Prospect to Cash business processes. The Group Information Systems (GIS) function is developing an exciting new generation suite of Enterprise solutions utilising Google technologies and SOA architecture.
Main responsibilities:
The management of projects, typically (but not exclusively) involving the development and implementation of business processes to meet identified business needs, acquiring and utilising the necessary resources and skills, within agreed parameters of cost, timescales and quality
Takes full responsibility for the definition, documentation and satisfactory completion of small-scale projects (typically lasting 6-12 months, with direct business impact, teams of 3-5 and firm deadlines).
Identifies, assesses and manages risks to the success of the project.
Ensures that realistic project and quality plans are prepared and maintained and provides regular and accurate reports to stakeholders as appropriate.
Ensures Quality reviews occur on schedule and according to procedure.
Manages the change control procedure and ensures that project deliverables are completed within planned cost, timescale and resource budgets and are signed off.
Provides effective leadership to the project team, and takes appropriate action where team performance deviates from agreed tolerances.
The achievement of formal confirmation that acceptance criteria have been met, and that the service provider is ready to operate the new service when it has been deployed. (Acceptance criteria are used to ensure that a service meets the defined requirements, including functionality, operational support and quality requirements).
Investigates and reports on hazards and potential risk events within a specific function or business area.
Use understanding of business processes to automate, where possible, and provide innovative mobile app solutions providing business benefits.
Uses the available tools to generate meaningful Business Intelligence reports

Assists with the development of agreed countermeasures and contingency plans.
Monitor’s status of risks, and reports status and need for action to senior colleagues.
Demonstrates financial awareness as a part of risk management (e.g. cost[1]effectiveness analysis of proposed countermeasures).
What we are looking for / Skills & knowledge:
The identification of a project’s key stakeholders and an assessment of their interests in the project to determine the way (s) in which these interests should be considered throughout the project lifecycle.
Experience
Has sound business knowledge and an understanding of current and emerging information and communications technologies and their level of maturity.
Is able to obtain information from businesspeople in face-to-face situations, and to analyse information on users’ occupational tasks obtained by a variety of formal and informal means.
Has an analytical and creative approach to problem solving.
Broadly skilled in information and communications technology.
Has a comprehensive knowledge of relevant development life cycles.
Is familiar with the concepts, standards, technology, tools, processes, procedures, hardware, software and services in use for delivering information services.
Has a good understanding of project management.

From a combination of acceptable Level 3 qualifications which may include: A-level or BTEC Diplomas/Extended Diplomas.
Salary:
£22 – 25K per annum (Experience dependent)
