Houseparents at Queenswood play a vital role in the pastoral well-being of the boarders.
The post carries responsibility for the welfare of Year 7 and 8 boarders. Essential qualities of a Houseparent are a good sense of humour, enjoyment of working with teenage girls, stamina, and computer literacy but most importantly, that you are interested in the care and development of teenage girls and preparing them for life beyond school.
This post would suit someone already involved in pastoral care, interested in pursuing a career in education or with experience in the caring professions.
