Description : The role of the Ward Clerk is to assist the ward team, enabling the smooth functioning of the unit through effective communication, general administration and appropriate interactions with patients, visitors and the multi-disciplinary team.
All activities will be under the direction of the Clinical Matron or Nurse in Charge.
The successful candidate will have the responsibility of providing administrative support for the clinical teams. This will include being the friendly face of the ward, warmly greeting and directing visitors to the area and managing the phone calls into the ward. They will also be responsible for tracking the patients on their journey through the ward, requesting and tracking notes, filing and making sure that the electronic systems are up to date as well as checking paperwork stocks.
This role is an integral part of the functioning of the wards and you will be an invaluable member of our team!
